Ed died February 5, 2020 he was born in Shawnee
OKLA to Homer Clark and Opal Groves Clark. Following the family move to
Brainerd MN early in his life, he graduated from Brainerd High School and
earned his teaching degree in English at St. Cloud State College. After
teaching high school in Las Vegas, Ed returned to Minnesota and spent most
of his career teaching and coaching at Fridley High School. Ed loved the
outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved exercise and
sports. In his youth, he was an exceptional water skier. He was a caring,
quiet man, loyal to those he loved. Ed is survived by daughter Kelly Friend,
her husband Ken and her children Matthew, Allen, Brian and Laura Coover;
daughter Debbie Fisher, her husband Dave and their sons Anthony and
Nicholas; daughter Kristi Clark-Anderson and her daughter Kaydin; son
Jeffery Clark, his wife Jolene and their sons Conner, Carson and Cooper;
sisters Ann Dow in Carrolton, TX and Jan Ross in Houston, TX. He is also
survived by former wife Joan Wicht Clark and long-time companion Connie
Joan Norman Ed is predeceased by his first wife Diane Diedrich and their
son, Timothy Rahn.
